Dorothy "Dot" Stroup

Dorothy "Dot" Nell Stroup, 76, of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, Kentucky.

Dorothy was born in Trigg County on May 28, 1946 to the late Roy and Velma Birdsong.  She enojoyed playing bingo and gardening.  Dot was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Taylor and husband, Matthew of Benton; son, Anthony Stroup and wife, Mica of Vardaman, Mississippi; one brother, Ronnie Birdsong and wife, Karen of Murray; one sister, Vondia Colson of Washington; three grandchildren, Maegan Stroup, Timothy Lee Stroup and Jackson Lee Earl Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Lee Stroup; five brothers, F.M. Birdsong, Bill Birdsong, Jim Birdsong, Donnie Birdsong and Conroy Birdsong; two sisters, Diane Higgins and Kaye Wright; and her parents.

There are no services scheduled at this time.
