Dexter Douglas

Dexter Douglas, 83 of Aurora, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

Dexter was born on November 28, 1942 to the late Dexter Newton Douglas and late Mattie Douglas.  For 30 years, he worked as a truck driver before retiring and moving to the Lakes Area.  Dexter spent most of his time out on the lake in his boat fishing.  He also enjoyed hunting and gardening. 

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rosemary Herzog Douglas; son, Dexter Wayne Douglas and wife, Anita of Greenfield, IN; sister, Carol Miller of Florida; and grandson, Dexter James "DJ" Douglas of Greenfield, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers & sisters.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Collier Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Union Ridge Cemetery, Benton, KY.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
