Daytha Jackson Dowdy

Daytha Don Dowdy, 82, of Benton, KY passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at UK Healthcare in Lexington, Kentucky.  Mrs. Dowdy was a member of Brooks Chapel United Methodist Church and retired as a secretary from North Calloway Elementary School in Calloway County, KY

Mrs. Dowdy was born on Monday, October 9, 1939 in Murray, KY to Eva Mae Burkeen Jackson and Oman Jackson.

She is survived by a Daughter - LaDon and husband Randy Travis of Gilbertsville, KY;  2 Sons - James Craig and wife Lynn Dowdy of Murray, KY, and  Alex Dowdy of Jackson, TN;  7 Grandchildren - Callie Dowdy, Abby Dowdy, Jordan Travis Nall,  Tyler Johnson, Hannah Travis, Bailey Dowdy, and Ethan Dowdy, 

She is preceded in death by her husband - James Donald Dowdy; her parents - Oman and Eva Mae Jackson, and 1 sister - Peggy Gregory, 

Visitation at Collier Funeral Home on Sunday, December 26, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  

Funeral Service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robert McKinney  officiating.  Burial will follow in the Brooks Chapel - Gordon Cemetery.
