Christy Lee Riley,55 of Benton, passed away July 26,2026 at the home of her mother. Christy made the transition of life with her mother, Jona Williams of Benton, and her sister Misty Riley of Benton by her side; as well as an amazing hospice nurse.
 
Christy was born July 18, 1971 to Jona F. Williams and the late William (Billy) Riley in Benton, Kentucky. After graduating from Marshall County High School, she attended WKCTC where she earned a degree as a LPN. During her career she worked at Lakeview Nursing and Rehabilitation as well as The Calvert City Convalescent Center, where her true caring and nurturing spirit showed bright.
 
Although Christy did not have any children of her own, she was a part of many children's lives where she loved each one as if they had been her own children.
 
Christy loved to fish and in the later part of her life she enjoyed wood burning and babysitting her great niece.
 
She is survived by her mother, Jona Williams of Benton; her sister Misty Riley of Benton; a niece, Kaytlynn (Chris) Springer of Possum Trot; a nephew Trevor (Hannah) Jones of Murray; 2 great nieces Camrie and Kallyn Springer of Possum Trot;great nephew Christian Springer of Possum Trot; aunts Judy McConnell of Fredonia and Virginia Thorn of Gilberstville; uncle Lane (Deb) Starks of Mayfield; along with several cousins, extended family, and her life long best friends.
 
She was preceded in death by her father William (Billy) Riley, baby sister Tiffany Riley, grandparents Marvin and Ruby Starks, and William and Nettie Riley.
 
Services for Christy Riley will be Saturday August 1,2026 at 12:30pm at Oak Level Methodist Church in Oak Level Kentucky. The family will receive visitors from 11:00am until the service time.
