Christine Thornton

Christine Lynn Hinkebein Thornton, 43 of Benton, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026 at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

Christine was born in Paducah on November 15, 1982 to the late Clem Hinkebein and the late Brenda Kaye Hopson Hinkebein. She worked as an office manager at ISM and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Christine lived life to the fullest and was always ready to have a good time. She enjoyed visiting and gambling in casinos, getting together with her bunko group, and boating on Kentucky Lake with her family.

She is survived by two sisters, Angie Mason (Jonathan) and Julie Risley (Jeff), both of Benton; a stepdaughter, Laynee Delgado (David) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Clem and Kaye Hinkebein and her husband, Richard Lane Thornton.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Calvert City with Father Brian Johnson officiating.

A memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Friday, July 3, 2026 at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
