Charles "Clovis" Collins

Charles "Clovis" Collins, 90 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, Kentucky.

Clovis was born in Livingston County, Kentucky on March 23, 1934 to the late John Turner Collins and Mary Elizabeth Koon Collins. He worked as a groundman operator for Benton Electric Company. He will be remembered by his hard work ethic and always willing to help others in need. Clovis enjoyed watching Westerns and Ice Road Truckers. More than anything, he loved spending time with his children, grandkids and greats. Clovis attended Impact Church.

He is survived by his three sons, Kelly Collins (Pauline), Stanley Collins (Shelia) and Jeff Collins, all of Benton; daughters, Karen Payne (Joe) of Calvert City and Jenny Collins of Benton; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Marida Sue Fulks Collins; son, Lynn Collins; his parents; four brothers, John Thomas Collins, Cecil Turner Collins, Sid Jones and John Carl Jones; and sister, Willie Edwards.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Young officiating. Interment will follow at Newby Cemetery, Land Between The Lakes, KY.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
