Bro. J. Duane Holland

Bro. Jewel Duane Holland, 75 of Benton, KY passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY.  

Born Tuesday, October 25, 1949 in Paducah, KY,  was the son of the late Charles and Flora (Tynes) Holland. Duane was a Minister for 53 yrs. and the Paster at Holly Hills Baptist Church in the Possum Trot Community. He also worked as an advocate for the Ky Department of Community Based Services for 17 yrs. Duane loved music and played multiple instruments, all by ear. He loved his God, his family, and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn (Henson) Holland of Benton, KY, sons, Brad Holland (Toyna) of Kuttawa, KY and Barron Holland (Julie) of Benton, KY, daughter, Chrystal Jones (Johnny) of Benton, KY, sister, Vicki Jo Reed (Dennis) of Benton, KY, grandchildren, Ashton Johnson, Miranda Morris (Phillip), Jackson Holland, Adalee Holland, Austin Jones (Morgan), Aaron Jones (Haley), Isaac Holland, Alayna Holland, and Ryan Holland, and great-grandchildren, Dominic and Beckett, .

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Neal Holland and Ken Holland, sister, Shirley Nance. and grandchild, Alex Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th Street, Benton, KY 42025, Rev. Mark Sickling officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Benton, KY.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home.
