Bill Burt

William "Bill" Franklin Burt, 67, of Calvert City passed away on November 18, 2024 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.

Bill was born in Murray, Kentucky on September 29, 1957 to the late Thomas Burt and Carolyn McNeely Burt. He worked in sales and marketing for several different industrial supply companies. Bill led an extremely active and creative life. He had a passion for music, writing, reading, crafting, and tinkering with various objects around his home. He enjoyed golfing, playing guitar, and collecting guns. Bill never met a stranger and would make friends anywhere he went.

He is survived by one son, Alex Burt of Calvert City; five stepchildren, Natasha Ethridge, Jennifer Joiner-Smith, Aaron Huebschmann, Drew Huebschmann, and Sarah Hughes; two sisters, Marsha Koeppen of Murray and Daphne Quigley (Bill) of Nicholasville, KY; and ten grandchildren, Alanea Rae, Adelae Ethridge, Archer Ethridge, Colton Smith, Ainsley Smith, Briley Smith, Ian Hughes, Isla Hughes, Abigail Huebschmann, and Luke Huebschmann.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations made in Mr. Burt's memory to the Marshall County Public Library; 1150 Birch St. Benton, KY 42025.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home.
The visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home.
