Anna Joette Calhoun

Anna Joette Hayden Calhoun, age 89 of Benton, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. She was a retired operator for AT&T. She had a love for gardening, landscaping, mowing, and all things related to flowers.

Joette was born on Monday, September 10, 1934 in Paducah, KY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Hayden and the late Anna (Hughes) Martin.

Surviving are son, Tommy Dale Calhoun (Kelly) of Benton, daughter, Vicki Thornton (Roger) of Benton; three brothers, Ronald "Peanuts" Martin of Paducah, Russ Hayden (Angelica) of Springfield, MO and Jack Hayden of Michigan; two sisters, Lisa Wehmeyer (Doug) of Florissant, MO and Janice Winchester (Skip) of Florissant, MO; five grandchildren, Destry Calhoun (Askala) of Fort Worth, TX, Casey Rhodes (RJ) of Stephenville, TX, Alecia Cherry (Justin) of Farmington, KY, Cortney Eakin (Justin) of Whitehouse, TX, Ryan Thornton (Rebekah) of Paducah, KY; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Calhoun; three brothers, Mike Hayden, Butch Martin and Johnny Martin; and two sisters, Betty McGregor and Vivian Cunningham.

Memorial contributions may be made in Joette's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Marshall County Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025.
