Jerry Lee Carter

Mr. Jerry Lee Carter age 82 of Mayfield passed away at 12:45 AM Monday March 13, 2023 at his son's home in Farmington. He was a member of the Christ Methodist Church, Navy veteran, retired from General Tire and a retired School Bus Driver. He is survived by 2 daughters- Tammye (David) Rogers of Paducah, Mandy (Ginny) Carter-Lowe of Columbia, TN, 1 son- Greg (Lou Shanda) Carter of Farmington, 1 sister- Hazel Ortyl of Schwenksville, PA, 1 brother- Larry Carter of Columbus, IN, 5 grandchildren- Seth (McKinsey) Carter, Christy (Jason) Jones, Sarah Autumn Lowe, Drake (Sarah) Stahr and Andrew (Erica) Stahr, 3 great grandchildren- Hailee & Lylah Jones and Addisyn Grace Stahr. He was preceded in death by wife- Phyllis Carter and his parents- Boyd & Attie Bazzell Carter. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday March 15, 2023 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with Rev. Mark Stephens and Rev. Keith Allred officiating, burial will follow in the Bazzell Cemetery, visitation will be after 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield. Pallbearers will be Seth Carter, Andrew Stahr, Drake Stahr, Jessie Story, David Rogers and Angel Romero.
