Vanda C. Engler

Mrs. Vanda C. Engler, 85, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024 at her home in Burna. Vanda loved her family and her dog Lucy. She enjoyed birds, cooking, Hallmark movies and chocolate. She worked at Siemens for over 30 years and she attended Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Vanda is survived by; son, James (Robin) Dickerson of Grand Rivers, KY.; step-children, Johnnie (Susie) Engler; Sue (Vernon) Ellis; Peggy (Lanny) Woods; Nancy Tynes; Alberta Wright; sister, Mary Lou Girandot; three grandchildren, Whitney (Brian) Slayden, Jourdan Dickerson, Dakota (Becky) Dickerson) and greatgrandchild; River Slayden. She was preceded in death by sisters; Helen Wolfington; Doris Moffitt and Opal Lee; brothers, Don Binkley and Jr. Binkley; first husband, Henry Richard Dickerson, Jr.; second husband, Johnnie Engler; parents, James Corbett and Sally Binkley. Funeral service will be 1PM Monday, December 2, 2024 in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Service. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery.
