Mrs. Karen Louise Lawson

Mrs. Karen Louise Lawson, 80, of Kirksey, KY, formerly of Smithland, passed from this life on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Lawson was born in New Ulm, MN on May 11, 1941, to Erland and Virginia Linneman Bandow.  She had worked in Home Health and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Smithland.  
She is survived by her daughters, Sam McDonald (Duran) of Joy, KY, Janice Hines of Salem, KY, Tammy Chittenden (her late husband, Zip) of Smithland, KY, Ginny Little (Brian Smith) of Kirksey, KY, and Crystal Burns (Mike) of Ledbetter, KY; son, John Hartman of Sparks, NV; brother, Dan Watschke (Nancy) of Bermuda Dunes, CA; grandchildren, Justin Hughes (Tiffany), Faith Craig (Jason), Amanda Bridges (Garrett), Travis McDonald (Chassity), Derek Champion (Chasta), Christopher Knepper,  Ashley Knepper, Christopher Hartman, Savana Hartman Forcum, Johnny Hartman, Danielle Thomas (Zachary), Taylor Ramage (Dylan), Randi Sanders (Austin), Dakota Little, Mason Burns, Irelynn Burns, Jason Burns, and Justin Burns; 21 great grandchildren; and a special friend, Jane Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lawson; daughter, Teresa Hughes; sons, Allen Edward and Daniel Hartman; and her parents.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, December 20, 2021, at Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.  Interment will follow in Good Hope Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour on Monday, December 20, 2021, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services in Salem, KY.
