Tonya G. Drennon

Tonya Drennon, born on October 4, 1954, in Almo, Kentucky, passed away on April 10, 2025, at the Anna Mae Owens Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky. 
 
Tonya’s life was shaped by the love and memory of those who came before her, including their parents Kirby and Grace Bucy; brothers Howard (Diane) and Don Bucy; and grandchildren Andrea White, Baby White, and Baby Drennon.
 
In addition to her love and dedication to her family, Tonya spent nearly two decades of her life serving others as a social worker at Carey Counselling in Paris, TN. She worked for Mattel in Murray, KY for many years until its closure.
 
Tonya is survived by her beloved children, John Drennon (Kathy) and Cindy White (Jeromey), and cherished grandchildren Lucinda White and Melli, Sean, and Arianna Drennon. She is also survived by her sister Tena Rodden (Ray), sister-in-law Emma Hightower (Davd), her aunt Alice Hopkins, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
 
A private graveside service for immediate family will be held at Murray Memorial Gardens. A Celebration to honor Tonya’s life is still pending at this time. 
 
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to CASA by the Lakes, P.O. Box 383, Murray, KY 42071.
