Susan Beth Carter

Susan Beth Carter, 61, of Palmersville, TN, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center, Mayfield, KY.
 
Born July 15, 1962, in Bruceton, TN, Susan was the daughter of the late Homer and Mary Lois (Vaughn) Jones. She was a 1980 graduate of Mayfield High School and a graduate of Paducah Community College in Nursing. Susan worked as a Registered Nurse at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, McKenzie Regional Hospital, McKenzie, TN and later at Mills Manor Healthcare in Mayfield, KY.  She attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Paris, TN.
 
Those left behind to cherish memories are her son, Christopher L. Carter of Palmersville, TN; brothers, Phillip Jones of Pennington Gap, VA and James J. Jones of Fulton, KY; sister, Lisa French of Water Valley, KY; grandchildren, Brycen Carter of Paris, TN and Allison Carter of Springville, TN; daughter-in-law Jana Ferguson and her nieces, Annie and Emily Ferguson, all of Springville, TN and a dear friend Reba Montgomery of Palmersville, TN. 
 
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Dean Carter; a son, Robert A. Carter; and siblings, Homer A. “Butch” Jones, Gary Beadles, and Marilyn Schwede.
 
To honor Susan’s life, a memorial service will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 409 North Wilson Street, Paris, TN 38242, with Pastor Emily Walker officiating.
