Nicholas O'Neal Poore

Mr. Nicholas O’Neal Poore, 43 of New Concord, KY, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at his home. 

Born April 15, 1980, in Birmingham, AL, he was the son of the late Leonard O’Neal Poore and Adriana (Behagel) Poore and stepfather, Tim Abney of Indianapolis, IN. Nick was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.  He could always be found on a good day hunting arrowheads with Angela, whom he cherished and dearly loved, and spending time with Blu and Pixi.

"So, when you are out fishing and catch a big one, just know that was Nick helping you out."

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepsister, Alicia Abney.

Nick is survived by his companion of over 10 years, Angela Austin of New Concord, KY; his mother and stepfather; and his brother, Christopher Poore of Indianapolis, IN. His stepdaughters, Tabitha Wheeler of TN and Nikki Austin of KY, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, are also left to cherish his memory.

A celebration of Nicholas’ life will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at Heartland Christian Center, 170 S IN 49, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
