Larry Gene Wade

Mr. Larry Gene Wade, 77, of Puryear, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at The Farms of Puryear.

Born January 10, 1947, in Martin, TN, he was the son of the late Willis Eugene and Virginia Ruth (Chappell) Wade.  Larry was a retired assembly worker at Briggs and Stratton in Murray, KY.  He attended the former Puryear United Methodist Church.

Larry is survived by his wife of 18 years, Buffy Ann (Thompson) Wade;  two sons, Tony Scott (Karen) Wade of Paducah, KY, and Dallas (Emily) Patey of Clinton, KY; three sisters, Virginia Rogers of Water Valley, MS, Sherry (John) Lambert of Mansfield, TN, and Nancy Johnson of Hickory, KY; one granddaughter, Katherine Elizabeth Wade of Paducah, KY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private family service will be conducted Sunday, February 18, 2023, with Bro. J.D. Hart officiating.  Interment will be at Puryear Cemetery, Puryear, TN.   There will be no public visitation.
