Mr. James Howard Tucker, 90 of Kirksey, KY, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House, Murray, KY.
Born May 22, 1934, in Calloway County, KY, James was the son of the late Cephus B. and Emma Lu (Swift) Tucker. He was a retired dairy farmer and worked for General Tire and Rubber Company, Mayfield, KY. James was a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church, in Stella.
Those left to cherish memories of James include his children, Larry E. Tucker, wife Theresa of Kirksey, KY, Jerry L. Tucker, wife Donna of Murray, KY, and Debra T. Crabtree of Houston, TX; brother, Prentice Hayden Tucker, wife Phyllis of Kirksey, KY; brother-in-law, Danny Nix, wife Shirley of Jacksonville, Fl; sisters-in-law, Janice Nix of Murray, KY and Ann Tucker of Murray, KY; grandchildren, Kevin Tucker, Mitchell Tucker, Brian Tucker, Ricky Freeman, Mikala Foster, Tyler Coursey, Landon Boggess and Jason Crabtree; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 64 years, Bette Ann (Nix) Tucker; grandson, Nick Adams; sister, Allene Tucker Ray; brother, Charles Edward Tucker; and brothers-in-law, Billy Rue Nix and Jack Ray.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, with Rev. April Arnold officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Kirksey, KY with Jason Crabtree, Mitchell Tucker, Brian Tucker, Kevin Tucker, Ricky Freeman, and Tyler Coursey serving as pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 South 4th Street, Murray, KY 42071.
