Mrs. Fredda Kay (Workman) Rogers, 84, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away at home on Thursday, April 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 18, 1942, in Murray, Kentucky, Fredda was the daughter of the late Fred Lynn and Rubena Corinne “Susie” (Cox) Workman. After graduating as a proud member of the Murray High School Class of 1960, she worked for her parents at the Settle-Workman clothing store. She later worked for many years at Fisher-Price Toys and Mattel, Inc., until her retirement. Fredda was a devoted and active member of First Baptist Church of Murray, where she faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher for many years, touching countless lives with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith until her health no longer allowed her to continue.
Those left to cherish wonderful memories of Fredda include her son, Phillip Bruce Rogers (Tammy) of Murray; son-in-law, Bobby McKinney of Dexter; brother, Richard Workman (Brenda) of Cincinnati, Ohio; her cherished grandchildren, Lauren Kay Alexander (Chris) of Murray, Seth McKinney of Addison, Texas, Bryan Rogers of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Logan Seay and Hunter Seay of Murray; and a precious great-grandson, Grady Alexander of Murray.
In addition to her parents, Fredda was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Gene Rogers, who passed away May 15, 1982; her daughter, Gena Kay McKinney; and her sister, Leah Workman Steeves.
A funeral service celebrating Fredda’s life will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, with Rev. Keith Inman officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Murray City Cemetery.
