Donald R. Emery

Mr. Donald R. Emery, 60 of Murray, KY, made his transition on August 5, 2023, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital, Murray, KY.
 
He was born on October 31, 1962, in East Chicago, IN. The eldest of three children born to the late Matilda Arleen (Anderson) Trotter and Olester Emery. Donald attended the East Chicago, IN and Chicago, IL public schools. He previously worked for Kraft Foods and most recently united with the Journey Church of Murray, KY.
 
Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Matilda Trotter and one brother, Timothy F. Emery, his maternal grandparents, Victor and Lydia Anderson of East Chicago, IN, and several uncles and aunts. 
 
Donald leaves to cherish all of his memories; Tareka Emery of East Chicago, IN, Donald Emery of Gary, IN, Donald Emery, Jr. of Louisville, KY, and Kendall Emery of Superior, WI, one sister, Wanda Denice Emery and niece Keisha  of Champaign, IL, and a half sister Debra Walton of Gary, IN, both his natural and step father, Olester Emery and Jimmie L. Trotter. Three aunts; Mildred Jarrett of Gary, IN, Evaline Woods of Las Vegas, NV, and Aurelia Glynda Walker of East Chicago, IN, three favorite first cousins, Debra Cook, Gloria Edwards and Debery L. Coleman, and last, but not least, his faithful companion, Odie, and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 
 
Private memorial services were held at the family’s request.
