Debora Hill Kendall

Mrs. Debora “Debbie” Sue Kendall, 66, a lifelong resident of the Penny community in Calloway County, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in the comfort of her home.
 
Born January 14, 1958 in Mayfield, KY, Debbie was the daughter of the late Collie Hill and Hazel (Sims) Hill.  She worked for the Calloway County School District and was a member of Glendale Road Church of Christ.  
 
Debbie was very proud of her recovery from being the first stroke patient, and later becoming the first “graduate”, of the Murray Calloway County Hospital Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit in 2007.
 
Those left behind to cherish memories of Debbie are her son Mark (Tina) Kendall of Murray, KY; sister, Betty Patterson of Farmington, KY; brother Max Hill of Mayfield, KY; grandchildren, Taylor Kendall and Ashlie Wilford of Tennessee, David (Katie) Stewart, Jr. of Dexter, KY, Steven Stewart of Dallas, TX, Heather Stewart Napper of Dallas, TX, Jason (Rebecca) Stewart of Almo, KY, and Christian Stewart of Murray, KY; great-grandchildren Brylee Wilford, Grayson Wilford, Brooklyn Kendall, Braxton Bolling, Adalyn Stewart, Anabelle Stewart, Caroline Stewart, Arden Stewart and Blair Stewart.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. 
 
In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Larry C. Kendall; a sister, Beverly Wilford; and brothers Donald Hill and Bill Lamb. 
 
To honor Debbie’s wishes, no services or visitation will be held. 
 
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the giver’s favorite charity.
