Danny Eugene Jones

Mr. Danny Eugene Jones, 85 of Murray, KY, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024, at Passion and Purpose Homecare, in Almo, KY.
 
Born June 8, 1939, in Cass, WV, Danny was the son of the late Robert “Bob” Jones and Mary Hannah (Brice) Jones.  He was a retired sheet metal mechanic at the Naval Shipyard in Charleston, SC and a member of the Summerville Church of Christ in Summerville, SC.
 
Those left to cherish memories of Danny include his wife, Martha Lee (Abel) Jones of Murray, KY; his children, Jerry Garner of St. Martinville, LA, Kathy Dake of Marietta, SC, Brian Jones of Clyde, NC, Karen Ehleben of Melber, KY, and Jonathan Jones of Ladson, SC; a sister, Roberta Sue Bolling of Bristol, TN; and grandchildren, Ali Garner, Natasha Webb, D.J. Garner, Kendall Price, Pete Price, Daniel Price, Alexander Jones, Samantha Abukhdair, Patrick Baker, Jacob Baker and Kiersten Baker; also surviving are 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David E. Brice.
 
A service celebrating Danny’s life will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, with John Dale officiating. 
 
Friends may visit with the family after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 South 4^th Street, Murray, KY 42071.
