Ms. Cynthia Lynn “Cindy” Burleson, 66 of Murray, KY, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, in Benton, KY.
Born March 9, 1957, in Birmingham, AL, she was the daughter of the late Joseph O. Thompson and Janet Lee (Flaugher) Thompson of Birmingham, AL. She cared for children in her home. Ms. Burleson was a member of the Ledbetter Baptist Church, Murray, KY.
She is survived by her husband James Thomas Burleson III of Benton, KY; children, Cameron Jones of Murray, KY, Candace Kreutztrager of Murray, KY, P. J. (Lindsey) Briggs of Benton, KY, Brandy (Jimmy) Scott of Hazel, KY; sisters, Ashley Thompson of Birmingham, AL, and Anita Morgan of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Spencer (Savanah) Briggs, Reggie (Caroline Scull) Jones, Ember (Cody) Lee, Matie Walsh, Kenzie Briggs, Kenadie Briggs, Kalen Salyer, William Scott, Samantha Scott, Shelby Scott, and Morgun Scott; great-grandchildren, Bridget Briggs, Parker Imus, Weston Imus, Kaisyn Imus, Trinton Ditto, Madilynn Jenkins, and Haizlee Jackson; and nephews Tate Thompson, Drew Morgan, and Matthew Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her father and daughter, Dara Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home in Murray, KY, with Bro. Dwain Reed officiating.
Friends may visit with the family Thursday, April 27, 2023, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 S. 4th St., Murray, KY.
