Barbara Ann (Doolin) Durr

Barbara Ann Durr, 89 of Murray, KY, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, at her home.  

Barbara was born in Gary, IN on March 26, 1932, to the late George Alexander Doolin and Catherine (Smith) Doolin. Barbara was a homemaker and worked as a cook for many years. She loved to sew and do crafts. In her later years, she especially loved visiting with friends at the senior citizens center, baking for the bake sales, running the crafting classes, and traveling with the ladies of the Red Hat Society.   

Barbara is survived by her 5 children; Robert (Diane) Durr of Mountain Home, AR, George Durr of Murray, KY, Paul Durr of Fort Charlotte, FL, Raymond Durr of Murray, KY and Diane Durr of Almo, KY; brothers William (Barbara) Doolin, George (Tina) Doolin of Hobart, IN and sister Sharon Shiyan of Valparaiso, IN. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, John C. Durr; son, Roger W. Durr, Sr; brothers and sisters: Marcine Scalchas, Patricia Kelley, Judy Ellis, James “Jimmy” Doolin, Donald Doolin and Roger Wayne Durr, Jr.
 
Funeral services for Barbara will be held Sunday, February 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Kelleher and Ruth Daughday officiating.  Entombment will follow the service in the Murray City Cemetery, Murray, KY.
 
Friends may visit with the family after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022, at Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 South 4^th St., Murray, KY 42071.
