Evan "Jerry" Pennington

Evan “Jerry” Pennington, 82 of Metropolis, IL, was reunited with his wife, Geneva, in heaven on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Kingston Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Jerry was a member of Eastland Life Church, the Massac County Gun Club and American Trappers. He was skilled in woodworking, photography and painting and enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Juanita Newberry and husband Jack and Monico Clark; grandchildren, Wade Wedeking (Sammy Jo), Amanda Massey, Gareth Wedeking, Libby Clark, and Danielle Wedeking; great grandson, David Massey; great-great grandson, Bentley Poole; special friend, Alice Isoline.
He was preceded in death by his father, Evan Pennington; mother, Anne (Harrison) Hunt; wife, Geneva Frances Pennington; son-in-law, Charles Clark.
