Diane McGill

Diane McGill, age 85 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 12:36 pm on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Gaither Suites at West Park surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy A. Bean officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Diane was retired from Massac Unit 1, was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and the Triangle Fishing and Hunting Club.
Diane is survived by her husband of 41 years, Byron "Barney" McGill; children, Dan Stitt and wife Cindy, Linda Booker and husband Michael, Leesa Foster and husband Preston, and Doug McGill; grandchildren, Olivia Schnibbe (Nils), Emma Lieberman (Ethan), Mike Booker, Kristin Dawson (Aaron), Gabe McGill, Andrew McGill, Johanna McGill, Stephen McGill, Scott McGill (Sara), and Deanna McGill; great grandchildren, Liam Schnibbe, Oliver Schnibbe, Mia Schnibbe, Finn Schnibbe, and Asher Dawson.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Oles Milton and Lilly (Workman) Lindsey; son, Kenneth McGill; sister, Virginia Nickias; brother, William Milton Lindsey.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 9 am until 11 am at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made in Diane's name to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 520 Ferry Street, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.
