Governor Andy Beshear is encouraging all Kentuckians to take precautions for Thanksgiving and the Christmas season.

Beshear said COVID-19 case numbers and hospitalizations have been increasing, along with demand for monoclonal antibody infusions.

The Governor called for everyone to get vaccinated or get a booster, now that all Kentuckians are eligible. He also reminded people feeling ill to avoid gatherings, keep the gatherings small, and wear masks indoors.

Kentucky reported 3,888 new coronavirus cases and 101 virus-related deaths in the past three days. The test positivity rate is 6.56 percent.

Some 809 Kentuckians are hospitalized, up 90 from last Monday.

According to state data, 59 percent of the total state population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, below the national average.
