Woman seriously injured after crash into mausoleum

A woman was seriously injured Wednesday when her vehicle crashed into a mausoleum at Woodlawn Memorial Garden Cemetery in McCracken County.

Deputies said the 55-year-old woman was driving on the cemetery roadway when she struck the mausoleum at a high rate of speed.

The collision caused serious damage to both the vehicle and the mausoleum.

The woman was first transported to a local hospital before being transferred to an out-of-state hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The woman’s name is currently being withheld.
