Woman claims ex stole Ring camera; Ex found with it in his pocket

A Metropolis woman claimed her ex-boyfriend stole her Ring doorbell camera on Saturday. 

The woman told Metropolis Police that the man had taken the doorbell camera from her residence at the Spence apartments. She said he texted her to tell her he took it. The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Izell Jones of Cairo, was located later and arrested, as he allegedly had the camera in his pocket. 

Jones was arrested and charged with theft and criminal trespass to property. He was taken to the Massac County Detention Center.
