Woman arrested for meth possession in neighborhood off Cairo Road

A woman was arrested Friday night after knocking on doors in a neighborhood off Cairo Road. 

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department was told that a female was reportedly dressed in black and knocking on the doors of random homes. Deputies caught up to 29-year-old Nikala Mize on Craven Drive. 

During their encounter with Mize, deputies reportedly determined she was under the influence and tried to arrest her. She resisted, but neither she nor the deputies were injured. A subsequent search allegedly found Mize in possession of methamphetamine.

She was charged with public intoxication with a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and possession of meth.
