A traffic stop early Wednesday morning led to drug charges for a Paducah man.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation shortly after 2 a.m. in the area of McGuire Avenue.

During a search, deputies reportedly found a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in a backpack.

A passenger in the vehicle, 27-year-old Austin Moore, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The driver was cited for the traffic violations.
