A wanted Paducah man is facing new charges related to drugs following his arrest in Lyon County last week.

Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 52-year-old Shane L. Jones, after receiving complaints that a fugitive was occupying a home in Kuttawa. The complaint call prompted a four-hour investigation into the identity of the suspect.

Once it was confirmed to be Jones, a search warrant was obtained. When they executed the warrant, Jones was the only person in the home. He refused to come out of the bedroom at first, but exited and surrendered after pepper spray was used. He was served the arrest warrants for contempt of court and bail jumping from McCracken County, along with failure to appear warrants from Marshall County and Massac County.

A search of the home also located what was believed to be methamphetamine, along with marijuana. Possession of meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia charges were added to the list. Jones was taken to the Crittenden County Detention Center.
