A wanted Paducah man was arrested for his connection to an incident where a man discharged a shotgun on Boyd Street on July 4.

Paducah police said they responded after midnight to a complaint of a suspicious person at Helen Street and Elmwood Avenue. The officer shined his spotlight into a truck and recognized the man as 31-year-old Delvon Clemons.

Clemons had previously been identified as the man who discharged a shotgun during an altercation on Boyd Street on July 4th.

The officer said he stopped Clemons and could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the truck.

Clemons was reportedly also found to have $2,000, four plastic bags containing 200 suspected fentanyl pills and a plastic bag containing marijuana.

He arrested and charged with trafficking in fentanyl and possession of marijuana. He was also arrested for an outstanding warrant charging him with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, disorderly conduct, and discharging a firearm within city limits.
