Having completed the initial pass of debris pickup in Graves County and the City of Mayfield, the Army Corps of Engineers asks residents to move debris to the right of way.

DRC, the company contracted in debris removal, began their second pass on Wednesday.

They ask that you place debris within 15 feet of the curb or edge of the street. However, bagged debris and residential trash are ineligible for pickup.

George Minges, USACE District Emergency Management Chief, said they had made great progress, and to date, they have removed more than 200,000 cubic yards of debris.

Residents are asked to sort debris into five categories: vegetive, hazardous waste, electronics, construction, and large appliances to expedite the debris removal process.
