Separate weekend collisions in Graves County result in DUI charges

Two collisions over the weekend resulted in injuries and DUI charges in Graves County.  

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said deputies were dispatched Friday afternoon to a  a single-vehicle crash  on Sharon Church Road south of Mayfield.  They said 54-year-old Mary E. Stephenson of the Pilot Oak area struck a ditch and several culverts before coming to rest in a yard.  

She was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, then arrested for DUI and other traffic charges. 

On Sunday evening a motorcycle crash occurred at the intersection of KY 97 and Dr Melvin Road. Deputies said 63-year-old Frederick Glover of Mayfield hit embankment, crossed the road and struck a second embankment.  

Glover was transported to Murray/Calloway County Hospital.   Due to the severity of his injuries, he was cited to Graves District Court for DUI and traffic offenses.
