Two men are dead following a Sunday morning shooting in Oak Grove.

Two men have died following a shooting incident early Sunday morning in Oak Grove.

According to Oak Grove Police, a 911 hang-up at about 2 a.m. prompted them to go to the home on Arkansas Avenue. Officers heard a gunshot just after they arrived and found the body of 27-year-old Gage Gilbert inside. They also located a second person described as armed and injured inside the home. That individual, later identified as 35-year-old Michael Johnson, was said to have barricaded himself in a room. 

Police tried to negotiate with Johnson but to no avail. 

Christian County Sheriff's deputies and officers from Hopkinsville Police joined Oak Grove officers as they entered the home. They located Johnson deceased, as well. Indications are that his death was the result of a self-inflicted wound. 

The possible murder-suicide is still under investigation.
