Two arrested on drug charges in Graves County traffic stop

Two Graves County residents were arrested early Saturday morning on drug related charges following a traffic stop.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said 75-year-old John L. Taylor and 53-year-old Carrie L. Alexander were taken into custody after vehicle search found cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Taylor was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and traffic offenses. Alexander was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and other offenses.

Both were transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center and later lodged at an out of county detention facility.
