A Trigg County man will face terroristic threatening and other charges after authorities said he threatened law enforcement.

WKDZ reported 43-year-old Matthew Riggs called the VA crisis line threatening suicide by law enforcement and refused to listen to their requests.

Once at his home, officers said Riggs seemed to be under the influence.

Additionally, he reportedly beat his head on the officer's car, causing his head to bleed before acting combative to law enforcement and medical staff.

The sheriff's office said this wasn't the first instance of Riggs calling EMS and law enforcement to his home before refusing medical care.

He was taken to the Christian County Jail on charges of terroristic threatening, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.
