A traffic stop Thursday night on Paducah's south side turned into an arrest and drug seizure.

Paducah Police stopped a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Jason A. Adams near the intersection of Irvin Cobb Drive and Legion Drive. A second officer and a K9 also arrived at the stop. The K9 Joker alerted the officers to the potential presence of drugs in the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered 20.21 grams of methamphetamine plus plastic bags. Adams allegedly told officers he knew nothing about the drugs.

Adams was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and several traffic violations. He had a previous conviction for manufacturing meth in 2011.
