Traffic stop ends with drug charges for Paducah pair

A traffic stop Thursday ended with drug charges for the driver and passenger.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office conducted the stop on Metropolis Lake Road. During the stop K9 Vegas was deployed and allegedly alerted to presence of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle. 

Deputies reportedly found a quantity of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia.

The driver, 38-year-old William Droge, and passenger, 49-year-old Sherry Beasley, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Droge was additionally charged with several traffic violations and was currently out of jail on bail for possession of methamphetamine charges he received in January of this year.
