A tip to Paducah Police lead to the arrest of a Graves County man on drug charges Friday afternoon.

Detectives had been told that 30-year-old Burl Wayne Morris Jr. of Hickory was allegedly selling fentanyl in the area.

Detectives stopped Morris Friday afternoon on Cairo Road. They searched his vehicle and reportedly found a bag on Morris with more than 100 black capsules suspected of containing fentanyl.

Morris was arrested and charged with importing carfentanil, fentanyl, or fentanyl derivatives. He was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

At the time of his arrest, Morris was out on bond from an arrest in Graves County, where he was charged with trafficking in fentanyl, and being a persistent felon.
