Thieves allegedly used a stroller to hide items to steal from Walgreens in Metropolis.

A Walgreens employee called Metropolis Police as they believed an adult and a juvenile were concealing items to steal. The employee told police that the two had taken items from the shelves and reportedly hidden them with the baby in the stroller.

The officer along with an off-duty Illinois State Police trooper waited outside until the two individuals and the stroller came out of the store. The officers stopped the females and allegedly located $192 in items in the stroller.

Police charged 27-year-old Samantha Jackson of Metropolis and the 13-year-old juvenile with retail theft.
