Motorcycle crash on I-24 injures Cadiz man

A motorcycle crash on I-24 Sunday afternoon sent a Cadiz man to the hospital.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, traffic was slowing along westbound I-24 near the 11-mile marker for a separate crash when a motorcycle operated by 70-year-old Eugene Cooper of Cadiz collided with the rear of an SUV.

Cooper was taken by ambulance to a local hospital before being flown to Vanderbilt for treatment.

The two occupants of the SUV were not hurt.
