Structure fire in eastern Calloway County

First responders were called to the scene of a structure fire in the Faxon area of eastern Calloway County on Wednesday morning.

Calloway County Fire and Rescue, along with Murray-Calloway County Ambulance Service are among the agencies that worked a structure fire along KY 94 near Old Shiloh Road. Officials got the initial call just before 8 a.m. about the fire in a building that contained three apartments. Quick response kept the fire from spreading among the other apartments. The fire was extinguished by 10:30 a.m. 

EMS did check a couple of the residents for possible smoke inhalation, but all were cleared. No other injuries were reported. 

Calloway County Fire and Rescue said two of the apartments and personal items of the victims were saved.
