State police investigating death of Fulton County K9 Shogun

Kentucky State Police Post 1 is investigating the recent death of Fulton County Sheriff’s Department K9, Shogun.

KSP said they were notified of Shogun’s death last week. The investigation requested by Sheriff Chad Parker is looking into the circumstances of Shogun's death and who was responsible for his care at the time.

Sheriff Parker posted about the investigation on the Fulton County Sheriff's Department Facebook page:

I received a report that our K9 Officer “Shogun” had passed away. The circumstances surrounding the death are currently being investigated by Kentucky State Police, by my request. Until the investigation is complete, the exact cause cannot be confirmed. We are deeply saddened by this loss.
