State Farm is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year by making its Neighborhood Assist grant program bigger than ever.
This year, the program will award one hundred grants of $25,000 to nonprofit organizations for neighborhood improvement projects.
Last year, two Kentucky organizations each won a $25,000 prize. Reidland Middle School for their 21st Century Learners after-school program, and Puzzle Pieces in Owensboro to help serve the growing autism population in western Kentucky.
The public can begin submitting their favorite causes on February 16. A review committee will narrow the field of 4,000 entries to the top 200 finalists.
The public will then have a chance to vote ten times a day, every day for ten days, from April 27 through May 6. The 100 causes that receive the most votes will each win a grant. Winners will be announced on June 7.
