In posts on their website and social media, Weekend at the Cave 2024 scheduled for August 30th through September 1st has been canceled. Organizers apologized and said that refunds would be offered to patrons and vendors. They expressed gratitude to performers, crew members, staff, vendors, community, and fans for their support.
The post goes on to say that they will cherish the memories made at the venue, but it offers no firm dates for 2025.
The amphitheater in the Shawnee National Forest near Murphysboro originally opened in the 1960s and was reopened in 2021.
