A call about a suspicious vehicle off the roadway in McCracken County landed a Paducah woman in jail.

McCracken County Sheriff's deputies were called out at about 2:13 a.m. Wednesday to Geibe Road between Old Mayfield and Husband Road. Reports indicated that a vehicle had run off the road and through a field. A witness at the scene reportedly saw a woman passed out in the car with a child in the back.

Deputies identified the woman as 33-year-old Candyce Taylor of Paducah. Taylor was allegedly asleep behind the wheel when deputies arrived. Their investigation indicated that Taylor was under the influence.

Taylor was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, wanton endangerment, and traffic violations. She was taken to the McCracken County Detention Center.

The child was checked out by EMS and released to family members.
