A pair of Paducah women were arrested on Friday for their connection to vehicle theft and possession of cocaine.

According to Paducah Police, an officer spotted a pickup truck at the intersection of North 9th and Boyd Street that matched the description of a truck that had been reported stolen earlier in the evening from a home on Clay Street.

The officer said he stopped the vehicle, where the passenger, 25-year-old Fantasia Maxwell, was detained and the driver, 25-year-old Delandra Stubblefield, fled the scene.

Stubblefield stuck a police cruiser before fleeing on foot on North 22nd Street. With the help of K9 Joker, she was located after a brief chase.

Officers said a vehicle search revealed a plastic bag of suspected cocaine, Maxwell's purse with her ID, and another baggie with alleged cocaine.

Both Maxwell and Stubblefield were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and possession of cocaine. Stubblefield was also charged with wanton endangerment of a police officer, fleeing or evading police and multiple bench warrants for failure to appear.
