A Paducah woman was arrested for DUI and other charges Monday night after police said she drove into a parked car and then crashed into a business on Park Avenue.

Paducah police said 21-year-old Jada Birchfield was intoxicated and driving a car with three passengers in it, one of them an infant.

Officers said Birchfield hit a vehicle that was parked on Park Avenue and then turned onto North 13th Street where she lost control of her car and it hit the 13th Street Bike Shop, causing significant damage to the building.

None of the passengers were reported injured.

Birchfield was arrested on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, driving under the influence, first-degree criminal mischief, driving with no operator’s license and leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance. She was booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
