Paducah trio jailed on drug charges after traffic stop

A traffic stop in McCracken County Friday morning left three people jailed.

Deputies stopped the vehicle near the intersection of Kreb Station Road and Old Mayfield Road for an alleged traffic violation.

The vehicle was searched, reportedly uncovering methamphetamine and a syringe. In addition, one of the occupants, identified as 35-year-old Steven Holmes, allegedly had meth, morphine, and xanax in his pants.

Holmes and the other occupants, identified as 53-year-old Lisa Higgins, and 53-year-old Paul Hayes, were all arrested and taken to the McCracken County jail.

They were each charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of morphine, and possession of xanax.
